There are brutal football fights and then there’s this from the Argentine third division – where 12 players ended up getting sent off this week after a truly remarkable brawl.

It all kicked off in the 67th minute of the match between long standing rivals Deportivo Roca and Cipolletti FC, which was always going to be tense, but ended up majorly kicking off.

The fixture had to be suspended in the end and the Argentine FA are now looking at handing out lengthy bans to both clubs for failing to control their players.

Warning: this video contains no football, just a massive brawl.

Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United kick-off the weekend’s action in an intriguing match-up at White Hart Lane, with both sides chasing victory for differing reason.Spurs can keep the pressure on the top clubs with a win, whilst a resurgent Toon know three points will move them well clear of the bottom three. Spurs are clearly the favourites at 2/7, with the Toon at 9/2.

Chelsea host Wigan in the pick of the three o’clock matches, although the Blues’ title ambitions are almost over following defeat last weekend. This should be a relatively straightforward win for Chelsea at odds of 4/11. Despite still not firing on all engines, Torres is still second favourite in the Firts Goal scorer stakes at 9/2 ahead of penalty taker Frank Lampard.

Arsenal travel to Sunderland and Stoke City host Reading, whilst Norwich meet Fulham at Carrow Road and QPR travel to Swansea. The late fixture sees struggling Southampton host champions Manchester City, and anything other than three points would be a surprise for Roberto Mancini’s side. They need it to keep up the pressure on city rivals United.

Aston Villa host West Ham in Sunday’s early clash, before Everton travel to Old Trafford looking to go one better than last season’s draw.Manchester United will want to avoid a result similar to that 4-4 encounter, which led to the downfall of their title challenge last season. It looks a lot better for them this season of course, and Man United are 3/4 to win.

Finally, on Monday night, Liverpool host West Bromwich Albion in a fixture that brings the weekend’s action to a close.

News – Wayne Rooney Banned For Three England Euro 2012 Matches

Wayne Rooney will miss the Euro 2012 group stage after being banned for three matches for his sending off against Montenegro.

Uefa’s disciplinary panel decided on the punishment for next summer’s tournament in Poland and Ukraine at a meeting on Thursday.

The striker, 25, was sent off for kicking Miodrag Dzudovic in the 2-2 draw in Podgorica last Friday.

The Football Association had written to Uefa in the hope of minimising any ban.

In the Premier League, the punishment for violent conduct is an automatic three-match ban.

But Uefa’s policy is to suspend the player for one game, with a panel deciding on a case-by-case basis what, if any, additional punishment there should be.

Options open included a warning, fine and three-game ban.

Officials take into account the referee’s report, representations from the player and national body and the player’s disciplinary history.

Rooney was sent off in the World Cup quarter-final against Portugal in 2006 after appearing to stamp on the groin of Ricardo Carvalho and then push former Manchester United team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo.

Referee Wolfgang Stark put in his report that the former Everton man left the pitch without contesting the decision.

England manager Fabio Capello has said he may leave Rooney out of upcoming friendlies to study alternative attacking options
